Facts of Acrylic Mirrors: Made from a high quality plastic mirror sheet with a tough protective back coating. Like-for-like, Acrylic mirrors are very similar to the reflective qualities found in standard glass mirrors, however they are less than half the weight of a glass panel of the same size.
They are up to ten times stronger and have far superior impact and shatter-resistant properties than ordinary glass mirrors. This is what makes mirrors made from acrylic highly popular, and ideal for use where glass mirrors may easily break and be unsafe, especially around children, the elderly or the vulnerable.
