Product Description

This beautifully scented Carrier Oil, "Sweet Almond" is one of the most popular and versatile of Base Oils used for diluting the essential oils of choice before use on the skin due to their high concentration.   It is easily absorbed and due to having a small amount of Vitamin 'E', has a relatively good shelf life.  It softens and reconditions skin and soothes inflammation and irritating skin conditions.  
 
Base oils are typically vegetable oils, all offering different properties and the choice depends on the therapeutic benefit being sought. 
 
Aroma:  Light, slightly sweet and nutty
Texture:  Slightly oily and absorbs semi-quickly
Colour:  Virtually clear with a tinge of yellow
 
Notes:  Sweet Almond oil is a good all-purpose carrier oil and is moderately priced.  It is cold pressed from the almond itself. Conditioning, emollient, softens and smoothes skin.
